Il mio amore per la birra nasce all’inizio del nuovo millennio quando, come regalo di compleanno, ricevetti il mio primo fermentatore. Da subito diventai un bevitore più attento ed incominciai a cimentarmi nell’arte dell’homebrewing. Con mia grande soddisfazione gli esperimenti prodotti a casa raccolsero ampio consenso, non solo tra amici e consumatori occasionali ma anche tra gli esperti del settore. Qualche anno dopo Kuaska, considerato il massimo esperto italiano di birra belga e da anni attento promotore della birra artigianale italiana nel mondo, mi citò tra i migliori homebrewer italiani, incoraggiandomi ad entrare nel mondo professionale.
