Request a DemoJames H is drinking a Makeshift Morale by Newgrass Brewing Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Liberated from the bowels of my refrigerator drawer. Deep purple pour. Smells strong of sweet & sour berry juice. Tastes nothing like the smoothie on draft; carbonated sour black/blueberry juice with some astringent acidity. Solid, puckering sour.
Purchased at The Hobbyist
Brett Kavanaugh: Oh the horrors I've seen!
James H: Brett K. Consular, if you only knew.
James H is drinking a Time is a Flat Circle by Heist Brewery at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Hazy orange/yellow pour. Smells tropically juicy & dank, with pineapple/orange & hop resin aromas mixing together. Tastes sweet & juicy of the citrusy/tropical hop meld with a balanced bitter earthy end. Super well made, but Heist is no stranger to these.
Purchased at Lowes Foods #210 - Harrisburg
James H is drinking a Negative Flux Given by Newgrass Brewing Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Purplish pour. Smells strong of tropical fruit punch, with kiwi, coconut & raspberry being prevalent. Tastes fruity, tart & creamy of the fruit punch aspect, with raspberry and the coconut cream winning out. Tho stronger, It’s still on par with Zero Flux.
Purchased at Newgrass Brewing Company
James H is drinking a Hydra Schmoojee Pick'n by Heist Brewery at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Dirty ruby pour. Smells strong of lemon, raspberry & blackberry. Tastes very much like melted tart sherbet smoothie, rounded out by a toasted coconut back. This is really solid, but I wish for less lemon/coconut. 1st beer since my covid hit. Fuck 2022 too
Purchased at The Hobbyist
Scubettas S: Join the club 🥳🤣…I wished for less lemon & raspberries 🤤👍🏼🍻
James H is drinking a Warpaint by Burial Beer Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Hazy orange pours. Smells of a sweet/dank hop mixture. Tastes of dank & earthy hop bitters, with a modest orange bite at the end. Smooth & solid drinker from Burial. Thanks Crispy !
Earned the I Believe in IPA! (Level 63) badge!James H is drinking a K THX BYE 2021 by Casita Brewing Company at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Hazy yellow pour. Smells dank, sweet & tropical Tastes creamy/juicy of orange, pineapple, sugary oats & sweet of the 5 hop combo. Lower ABV than last years (9.2%), but dropping the Galaxy hop got me digging this more. Last beer of the year. #FuckOff2021
Purchased at Salud Beer Shop
James H is drinking a Christmas Morning by Hardywood Park Craft Brewery at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Black pour. Smells of gingerbread & coffee are the dominant aromas, with a hint of spice. Tastes smooth & mouthcoating, probably due to the vanilla/honey added; subtle gingerbread/coffee roast/cinnamon across the board. Appropriately solid Christmas brew.
Purchased at Ultimate Ales
Earned the Beyond a Shadow of a Stout (Level 42) badge!Richard Zimmerle: Compared to the gingerbread stout I found this one lacking but maybe I had a bad batch
James H: Richard Z. I enjoyed the gingerbread one a tad bit more. Like, all the flavors are pretty much here but on a subtle level. It still works though. Got me a bourbon GBS to crack soon too.
James H is drinking a Duh by Burial Beer Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Dark orange pour. Smells of tropical fruit & quite a resiny hop nose, with at least one of those that I wouldn’t expect from a West Coast style. Taste a little of the fruit, before dissipating into a more dank, earthy build. Not bad; I’d rather a true WC.
Purchased at The Hobbyist
Earned the I Believe in IPA! (Level 62) badge!James H is drinking a Rothaus Pils / Tannen Zäpfle by Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Keeping it light. Gold pour. Smells still of that lager/Pilsner funk, but with the sweet & crackery notes behind it. Tastes sweet & crispy of the bready nature, while still getting a small hit of hops & definitely semi bitter end. Still a tasty pils.
Purchased at Salud Beer Shop
Earned the Drinking Socially (2021) (Level 6) badge!James H is drinking a Munich Dunkel by Brevard Brewing Company at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
After spending most of the day in bed after a 4 day stretch, it’s time for beer. Copper pour. Smells bready/of caramel malts. Tastes pretty clean of a crisp caramel malt build here, slight bready notes but ultimately a solid & super easy drinking dunkel.
Purchased at WOLFBREW Bottle Shop
Earned the Season of Giving (2021) badge!James H is drinking a Bad Mother Fuggle by Liquid Vice Brewing at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Dark pour with nice head lacing. Smells of dark chocolate, dark fruit & of a hit of a roasty aroma. Tastes of roasted malts, subtle fig, mild yet earthy hop presence from the Fuggle hops. Dry end. Yeah I’m biased as fuck, but two lazy assholes did good.
Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 70) badge!Brett Kavanaugh: Imagine a logo of two lazy assholes. *insert Mel Brooks voice* Merchandising merchandising merchandising!
Scubettas S: Peaty flavor profile, I want to try that 🤤👍🏼🍻
James H is drinking The People's Elbow by New Sarum Salisbury Brewing Co at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Orange yellow pour. Smells very tropical of pineapple & coconut, one might not think this is a IPA opposed to a sour. Tastes creamy of the lactose mixed in with big coconut, pineapple & a slight hoppy end. Tried this pre-Untappd & loved it. Still great.
Purchased at Lowes Foods #210 - Harrisburg
Earned the Haze for Days (Level 22) badge! Earned the Shake it Up! badge!James H is drinking a Pleasantly Plum by Divine Barrel Brewing at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Orange/tan color. Smells subtle of berries & vanilla, with a slightly odd aroma. Tastes of carbonated tartness, while not being that sour; subtle semi-sweet plum & creamy vanilla. With a lot of DB, its too light & needs more flavor. Just ok; amp it up DB!
Purchased at Custom Home Pubs
Earned the Riding Steady (Level 48) badge!James H is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Stout (2020) 14.6% by Goose Island Beer Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Shared dark pour. Vertical 2 of 5. Smells still of bourbon, chocolate & booze. Taste of the bourbon/chocolate has mellowed slightly while it retains the boozy element. Way better than the 2021 by far, but memory tells me going back will be even better.
Purchased at Total Wine & More
James H is drinking a Hummin' Bird by Red Oak Brewery at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Just because why not? Least I know what I’m getting with this, no matter that it’s 4 in the morning.

Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 69) badge!James H is drinking an Are You Ready Kids? by Armored Cow Brewing Co. at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Lost this one to the oblivion that is my refrigerator. Dark orange pour. Smells cloying of the pineapple & coconut. Somehow though, those flavors & booze have made for an apple-ish juice flavor? Apparently I’m not the only one. Tart non cider..cider? 🤷♂
Purchased at Custom Home Pubs
James H is drinking a Sunday Morning Stout by Weyerbacher Brewing Company at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Dark pour. Smells of the bourbon & chocolate notes but the coffee uptick is very nicely represented here. Tastes smooth of the roasted coffee flavor mixed with the dark chocolate/bourbon, though booze isn’t harsh at 12.7%. Damn tasty nostalgic throwback
Purchased at Salud Beer Shop
Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 55) badge!James H is drinking a Gingerbread Stout by Hardywood Park Craft Brewery at Michael Hunt’s Warm & Fuzzy Watering Hole
Shared black pour. Smells of gingerbread & cinnamon. Tastes very much like a batch of gingerbread cookies, which keeps on par with other beers I’ve had recently emulating cookie flavors. Big on gingerbread, cinnamon, vanilla & honey. Really like this.
Purchased at Badin Brews

Shared dark pour, fresh ginger nose. Rich with spiced cinnamon and ginger and sweet vanilla notes. Creamy and not cloyingly sweet, easy drinking for 9%, tasty holiday beer
Earned the So Udderly Sweet (Level 28) badge!
Black/brownish pour. Smells of a mix of roasted malts, toffee, dark chocolate & coffee notes. Tastes pretty smooth & flavorful; slight creaminess to accompany the roasty elements; bitter chocolate & toffee hit here. Though both are tasty, Dusk > Dark.
