Lone Pine is drinking a Café Deth (2025) by Revolution Brewing
Sweet crowd pleaser. Not really coffee forward, more like Irish Cream with sweet choc, molasses and toffee. Rich, but the caramel buries the barrel. Crass, Big A Little A, 1982. 4.35.
Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 36) badge!
Earned the Wake Up and Smell The Coffee! (Level 8) badge!
Earned the Beyond a Shadow of a Stout (Level 27) badge!
Lone Pine is drinking a Loneliness by Brujos Brewing
Hit of Galaxy hops. Bright, creamy, zesty and green, with a dry, earthy-tropical hoppy finish. Props for the Zdzislaw Beksinski artwork.
Earned the Recappd – December 21, 2025 badge!
MonkDave666: Everyone drinking Brujos nowadays, even in the UK - they the big new boys on the block? Not sure I've ever had them.
Lone Pine: Worth a try if you’re into hazies. Not exactly a game-changer, but it definitely lands in the ‘very good’ bracket.
MonkDave666: Lone P. We get a ton of Other Half here, which tbh is matched by Track in Manchester (best UK brewery by far) so guessing I'm probably not missing too much by the sounds of it?
Lone Pine: Not really, but I'd put Brujos a notch above OH, though I was never that keen on them, tbh.
MonkDave666: Lone P. Fair enough! If I see any Brujos around, I'll definitely give them a spin!
Lone Pine is drinking a Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2025) by Founders Brewing Co.
#2. Maple balanced with the barrel. Society System Decontrol, The Kids Will Have Their Say '82 straight edge HC from Boston followed by Antidote, Thou Shalt Not Kill '83, NYC HC.
Erik Söderström: SS Decontrol… such classic. Thought I was alone these days listening to them 🍻
Lone Pine: Erik S. I've been saying we need a punk/HC emoji, but nobody's listening 🍻
Chris B: Lone P. I’m listening, but have no ability or influence to add a punk emoji.🍻
Erik Söderström: Spent enough time in Boston and the scene there to realize we need a punk/hc emoji, time to make a petition ☺️
Lone Pine is drinking a Hush of Night: Dark Matter Coffee by More Brewing Company
Coffee forward, with less of the usual milk stout character, but the coffee flavor is really on point.
Lone Pine: Joseph K (named after Franz Kafka's The Trial guy) The Only Fun in Town, 1981, Scottish post-punk, their only album released.
Honeydew, musky cantaloupe, mango and vanilla followed by a dank citrus punch, all wrapped in a creamy, pillowy mouthfeel. Semi-sweet, lightly hoppy finish.
