Atypical BW, tastes rather like an aged spiced tripel but with added alcohol. Sweetness is not in your face, extremely malty, you feel it hits hard after a while but it drinks much lighter at first. Tricky!

Still amazing after 2 years! Thick, nutty, milky, rich chocolate. Divinely intense and silky smooth. Extremely dangerous for its abv.

Paired with pineapple on BBQ with banana and chocolate ice. Sweet (duh), liquid molten chocolate, banana is stronger at first but fades out a bit. Maybe not a bad thing to avoid overkill.

Soft, lower alcohol stout. Mild coffee toast, hint of chocolate and finish with smooth tropical and berry notes. Another nice one from this brewery

"Hazy hoppy hippo beer". Hazy, nope. Hoppy, according to the ingredients, the flavors not so much. Lighter than a hippo. Lots of water though, quite thin and flat. Beer, yes. So I guess it's one 1/4.

This is sad. They made the amazing Indulgence permanent as an okay Cuvee vd Keizer. Now they downgraded it even further to a regular Carolus and it's just damn chemical. Bottles look cheaper, but you pay the same price as when it was a Cuvee. Just sad.
