COOKIES ’N CREAM ’N HORCHATA ’N CHOCOLATE by Evil Twin Brewing NYC

Dennis Danelia is drinking a COOKIES ’N CREAM ’N HORCHATA ’N CHOCOLATE by Evil Twin Brewing NYC at St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe

Can Can

It's tasty, I'll give it that, but there's a cloying sweetness to the linger despite the dark chocolate and stout bitterness and light spice notes. Also, not a fan of the globby chunks in the bottom of the can ... that texture is nasty and unnerving

Also very very good! Slightly thinner than I expected it to be, but that's not to it's determent. Lovely amounts of vanilla, near fluffy levels of vanilla, w/o ever becoming outright dominating or overpowering. Added layers of nutty caramel nd cacao nibs

Very VERY good ~ Sweet bourbon and oak, nice sweetness of caramel corn, subtle roasty cacao nibs, and little chocolate covered peanuts and salted caramel/honey almonds.

Honestly this is pretty good! This nails the corn lager, with a little pith and faint citrus hop pop and lime giving a really good amount of contrast and satisfying depth

I love me some POG! Tangy orange citrus, tart passion fruit, and tropical rich guava. A little of the IPA part of this Sour IPA shines through at the end w a grassy and guava skin bitterness on the finish along w a little of the milk sugar on the linger

Eyeglass by Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery

Dennis Danelia is drinking an Eyeglass by Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery at St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe

Bottle Bottle

Fantastic! Still has that Wheatland Spring pear-forward character, except in this it's like the freshest of barret and bosc pears, as well as candied and poached pears. Also has a light, subtle peppery undertone that's borderline a backbone for the rest.

Against Death (Blend 1 / 2021) by Floodland Brewing

Dennis Danelia is drinking an Against Death (Blend 1 / 2021) by Floodland Brewing at St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe

Bottle Bottle

Gods damn, it's BITTER bitter! And I get that this is by design, nd I can taste that this beer is full of intent, but bitter is my least favorite flavor profile so it's just not for me. Really nice acidity, carrying notes of tart plums+plum skins+botanics

Blend #3 - July 2020! Neutral+gin oak barrels leave a pleasant+light yet present impression. Light touch n kiss of smoke, almost mistakable for some barrel funk. Basil is nicely present, the lime is as well n also bring the basil n gin notes up. Herbcous

The age hasn't been particularly kind to it, as by now it certainly has gained a bit of oxidation to it. That being said, there's still plenty to be enjoyed here! Notes of red wine, red and black grape skins, tobacco, fruit leather, and a lil toffee.

Capt'n Ron Rum Raisin Stout by Epic Brewing Company

Dennis Danelia is drinking a Capt'n Ron Rum Raisin Stout by Epic Brewing Company at St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe

Bottle Bottle

Thanks Pete. Nice American Stout, not too hoppy and white roasty but remaining drinkable. The rum soaked raisins add a nice sweetness for sure, without making the entire thing sweet.
