Brad: Porter on cask. I need to live in Blighty. 🍻
Richard E. is drinking a Porteresque by Hophurst Brewery at Petersgate Tap
Full bodied and rich tasting imperial stout. Paid £5 for 440ml can which I think is pretty much spot on.
Paul B. is drinking a Toffee Porter by North Riding Brewery at Petersgate Tap
This is superb. So much taste and aroma in a 4.5% plus the price is a bargain at £3..50. I’d pay way more. Well brewed chaps.
Paul B.: That’s a great idea, except this was the lat day before lock down. No pubs open now until mid November at earliest. Destroying small bars :(

Andy S. is drinking a Teenage Kicks by Beatnikz Republic at Petersgate Tap
Hmmm. Not sure. Not ‘Teenage Kicks’ as in ‘I remember listening to the Undertones on Peely’ but more as in ‘fancy a WKD ?’. Just a bit too heavy on the strawberry for me (though frankly any strawberry in beer is probably too much).
Andy S. is drinking a Cascade by Blackedge Brewing Company Ltd at Petersgate Tap
That’s a cracking pint. Very good clean hop flavour but a steely bitter bite
Andy S. is drinking a Cover Up by Twisted Wheel Brew Co. at Petersgate Tap
It’s fine but keg (as against cask) generally doesn’t do favours to modest pales like this.

Strawberry in a beer. That’s a first fir me. It’s works really well but only cos it’s really subtle. Good work. Great balance of flavours.

Danny C. is drinking a Speed Wobble by Twisted Wheel Brew Co. at Petersgate Tap
Hahahaa so funny we could take this to go in a milk carton
Danny C. is drinking an Imperial Frappé by Vocation Brewery at Petersgate Tap
Fucking fuck me this is unbelievable. If it wasn’t quite too sweet it would be a 5. Think it is a 5 though. Basically a scranny lovely milkshake and I’m glad it’s not too salty as well Jack K.
Robin O. is drinking an Imperial Tonkoko by Brew York at Petersgate Tap
Rated the “9th best stout in the world” in 2018. You can tell why it wasn’t in the top 5.

Pretty wow! Vocation and Brew York double act that packs a punch. Sweet yes, so just the one suffices, but what a one to savour. Deep and complex and for £3.60 a 440ml can, Not too pricey.
