I was expecting this to have gone downhill over the years, but nah. Layers and layers of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, raisin, caramel sauce, subtle woody maple (mostly wood), whole vanilla beans, tannic oak char. Amazing stuff

Roasty chocolate and caramel, a touch of creamy coconut and cinnamon, and a really nice charred oak character. Despite it being only 1/3 barrel aged, there is a lot of oak

This is one amazing spring saison. Bright, fresh, and floral. Lemon lime, floral hops, a zip of orange peel, some earthiness, and some light bitterness into the dry finish. I think I'll need to grab a few more

Crazy how not boozy this is despite the huge 26% ABV. Tons of dense chocolate, fig, raisin, a slightly peaty smoky licorice type thing, oak, caramel, and very little heat in the finish. Really puts the danger in "dangerously smooth"

Earned the From the Cold (Level 10) badge!

Its still a big ass barrel bomb but it's finally balancing out just enough to take it to the next level. Unreal levels of fudgy caramel malt and decadent vanilla oak char tannin. Lots of heat but integrated well. Sadly my last bottle, could go years more!

Hard to tell where the grapes end and the lambic begins. Seems like a bright oude geuze at first taste. Bright white grape seamlessly blending into funky lively citrus, horseblanket funk, and old musty oak.

One par with last year's stunner. Rich caramel, toffee, brown sugar and fig. Fat boozy oaky barrel slapping it all together. Smacks on smacks of malty barrel deliciousness

Rich chocolate, fig, a touch of licorice and molasses, caramel, roasted cocoa, bold charred oak. Compared to last year, its a little sweeter, but still has tons of great barrel character

Purchased from Schramms 6 months ago. Needs decanting! Even more tannic than batch 2! Berry blend is completely melded together into its own flavor. Now there's a lil sharp vegetal note in there, but it's reduced a bit with air... Drink em if you got em!

Cellared by Schramms for at least half of its life. Markedly different from batch 5. Less sugary berry jam, a bit more tannic and tart, and a reasonably more complex mix of berry flavors. Very tasty, this batch is easily one of my all time favorite meads!

Rich and full of jammy berries. Almost tastes like cranberries, despite it not making an appearance. Very tasty as always with this mead!

Rich brown bread, toffee, fig, earthy, a hint of banana ester. Ridiculously smooth despite the supposed ABV

LCI. 8% ABV Hard Seltzer. Flavors of ripe pineapple, coconut, and rum in a moderately thick Seltzer. Really Good!

Lots of malty brown bread crusts, figgy raisin, a little oaky caramel, a little cocoa. I think it's got a few years on it, pretty tasty

Incredible as usual. Loads of aromatic horseblanket funk seamlessly blending with old tangy stone fruit and oak.

Much of the same bold roasty dark chocolate, caramel, and charred oak you expect from BCBS, with an added layer of rich but balanced chocolate covered cherries, grape tannin, and an extra heap of oaky goodness.

Toffee figgy earthy leathery malty goodness, with a really rich caramel and umami roasted oak character. The finish is long and satisfying. One of the better batches in a while

Bold roasty dark chocolate brownie batter, fig, caramel, with incredible barrel notes of umami charred oak and a rich toasted cinnamon. Eagle Rare compliments this stout really well, this is awesome

Lots going on here. Citrusy botanical nose. Spritzy carbonation, sweet apple, prominent orange slices, juniper, pine. Almost tastes like a wacky Sprite. Great stuff

Earned the International Women's Day (2024) badge!

This has transformed quite a bit over the last 3 years. Complex seedy stemmy raspberries, lots of tannin, some funky yeasty business, and a huge puckering sour note on the finish. Very tasty but probably the most sour Cantillon bottle I've had, damn son
