Ending the weekend with another barrel aged beer from a brewery that has really impressed me. I was expecting more rye to come through although I am getting some on the finish. As it has some more heat than the original. Still finishes dry and smooth.

Cheers to a Brewers win! This is another excellent beer that I was looking forward to having. It's rich,fruity, malty and sweet with a spicy alcohol heat on the dry and smooth finish. Finished full and lasting. Will be interesting to try the variants.

Finishing the night with one of the beers I've been wanting to try for years and it's definitely met my expectations. Layered and complex with oak, caramel, dark fruit and toffee along with some heat. Finishes dry and satiating with some spice.

Cheers to another big brewers win! This is an interesting take on the beer I had last night and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's fruity, dank and malty with a sweet jammy finish that is dry and satiating. Good carbonation and feel as well.

Ratebeer, 2008: on tap at hop devil in manhattan. my initial impression was that it tasted like grape soda. long sweet and tart (somehow) aftertaste. raspberry jam and caramel mixed in. very complex and interesting - just not really my thing. K-6

Ratebeer, 7-11-2008: on tap at hop devil in manhattan. strong fruity sweetness undercut with sour tartness. prune also. long slightly dry bitter finish. actually liked this better than the raspberry eisbock. just too sweet for me overall. K-6
