Max Nuernberg is drinking a Double Barrel Reverberant (2024) by Side Project Brewing
Caramelly, toffee-ish aroma. Heavily malty barleywine. Oak barrel, sweetness, and plenty of bourbon & rye. Warm, thick mouthfeel. Spicy rye, dry oak barrel, and bourbon honey w/ the Meadowfoam. Rich and thick, sweetness compliments the barrel age.

Super wild yeast aroma. Funky, tart, and wild smell. Lots of blueberry-adjacent aromas, I assume due to haskap. Lightly carbonated; floral and sweet immediately, followed by a slightly bitter, funky tartness. Similar to less sour, wild blueberry lambics.

Wheaty, yeasty funk & lots of esters/phenols. Banana and clove aplenty; standard Bavarian Hefe. Bready w/ pale malt as the backbone. Yeast really shines on the tongue; funky and wheaty, and effervescent for how smooth/creamy it is. Bready, pale malts.

Funky, tart saison and herbal, floral hibiscus. Lots of fruity notes, delicate in the aroma. Tea is the main focus here for sure w/ an underpinning of acidity. Fruity and floral, with a dry, tart finish on accord of the hibiscus. Missouri oak signature.

Tons of bourbon/rye barrel & heat that mellows w/ time, opening up to brown sugar, molasses, raisins/dates, and tobacco. This BW serves as a heavy-bodied vessel for the barrels it's aged in; really hot, but it works with the dark, chocolatey malt.
