Whisky Sour Berliner Weisse

Inspired by the classic Whisky Sour cocktail and with the help of Golden Age Bar Manager Maggie Ortega we have played with a traditional Berliner Weisse to create a beer both complex and subtle. We candied hundreds of local oranges and added them along with Maraschino cherries, Meyer lemon, orange bitters and rye-soaked oak staves. Pouring with a thick head of creamy white foam this beer has a lemony tartness instead of the usual lactic tang. All the flavours of a Whisky Sour are layered in a gentle background harmony and the beer is as thirst quenching as it is interesting. Un-malted barley adds a creamy texture and a super-dry finish does the job making this a very crushable tinnie. Show Less
