Ambitious project that is partially there for me, but not all the way. Like most lagers, this one has trouble absorbing the barrel and the result is an overwhelming woodiness. I do taste the bitters. Not as sweet as the cocktail itself.

Maltée, fruits secs, boisée, whisky. Oranges subtiles. Juste un peu sucrée. Un peu d'alcool en finale. Ça ne me rappelle pas si clairement l'old fashioned, mais c'est une bonne Doppelbock. La barrique aurait aussi pu être encore un peu plus expressive.
