Good stuff! BOLD Hershey's syrup & accenting dark choc shavings dominate up front, almost entirely overwhelming lesser bourbon & splash of mocha that struggle to stand out mid-palate.
Tad T: Surprisingly subtle coconut & vanilla, suggestion of marshmallow, & pinch of brown sugar peek out @fin. Dark roast coffee bitterness lingers late in the aftertaste. Delightfully boozy, w/ 12.6% ABV more noticeable than usual by Aslin pastry standards.
Tad T: Syrupy, coating mouthfeel. As w/ the 2020 batch, inexplicably weak on depth, complexity, & range for a 16-adjunct stout, proving once again that more ≠ better. Incredibly sensitive to temperature, w/ coconut disappearing w/ even the slightest chilling.
Tad T: 4.375, barely eking out the round-up to 4.5 on the cap scale.
