This one confused my tastebuds … the Tripel hiding in the background is there in hints and subtle notes. Lots of oakiness with a peppery dry finish. In between, hints of the Belgian along with grassy funk. Tasty but do not expect a classic Tripel.

This was a really solid Belgian tripel. Light malt presence got out of the way so the big esters and phenols could shine. Mild banana & bubblegum mixed with a nice spicy black pepper type note. Fairly dry finish that is appropriate to the style. Not bad.
