Haven't made a porter in ages. Working at an imperial nibs clone. This is the gladfield robust porter malt recipe with voss, kohatu and a lot of toasted coconut. Great progress.

Hoegarden yeast. Rose water phenolics? and little happening from the yeast. Navel orange, coriander and lemongrass spice backed with Kohatu hops but no where near as good as the old "Belgian Wheat" yeast.

Yeast from a vitus bottle. 60% wheat, 20% pilser, 20% vienna. Kohatu hops, first wort and aroma. Really happy with this recipe.

My attempt to clone weiphenstaphaner vitus. Used vitus yeast from a bottle. Very happy with it. Lots of clove, banana, orange peel and vanilla.

Dan Brough: Maybe these hops aren't cluster. Perhaps they are "ornamental". Never used a KG before and still not a big nose coming off it in the boil.

Dan Brough: Pure fresh hops. 400g at 5min and 600g in steep. Light malt beer with all the colour from gladfield's eclipse wheat.

Dan Brough: Nutty taste and a spicy orange aroma. No grass with this recipe. Malt tastes like a pilsner with a little bit of coffee.
