V Hlučíně, starobylém městě nedaleko Ostravy, se pivo vařilo už v 16. století. Pivovar zde byl založen roku 1526. V roce 1904 se po téměř čtyřech stech létech přestalo pivo v Hlučíně vařit. Na troskách původního pivovaru vybudovali nynější majitelé pivovar současný a v roce 1993 obnovili tradici zdejší výroby piva. In Hlučín, an ancient town near Ostrava, beer was brewed as early as the 16th century. In 1904, after almost four hundred years, beer stopped being brewed in Hlučín. The current owners built the current brewery on the ruins of the original brewery and in 1993 they renewed the tradition of local beer production. In Hlučín, einer alten Stadt in der Nähe von Ostrava, wurde bereits im 16. Jahrhundert Bier gebraut. Im Jahr 1904, nach fast vierhundert Jahren, wurde das Bierbrauen in Hlučín eingestellt.
