Decent alt beer. Pretty rich and malty.

Ten year old bottle, still tasting pretty good: dark bitterness but more pronouncedly malty.

Earned the Riding Steady (Level 48) badge!

Don't know how this fetched up in the cellar. It is however v good, full flavoured with well balanced hops and maltiness.

Sweeter than I remember but the bottle's 8 years out of date so it might have done something interesting. Good anyway.

In its origins incarnation (4 year old bottle). Deep chocolate hints and slight sweetness. Proper tasty.

Barley wine for a Friday night. Initial sweetness gives way to pronounced bitter notes.

Ooo that's nice. Rich chocolate and licorice notes.

Complex, rich flavours, dry finish. Sold in aid of Wells next the Sea lifeboat. Nice: drinking for charity...

Ooooo. Incredibly rich quad. Dark beer, dark night and dark Scandidrama on telly.

Excellent darkish beer with slight hints of chocolate malts. (Is a rubbish evening outside,so having to raid the Austrian stash).

Splendid. Got a stinking cold and this is C's tried and tested cold-cure.

Ooof, lovely. Forgot we had some of these chaps in the cellar. Not as overpowering as others; subtle bitter notes.

Sweet, very drinkable. Bit of a German alcopop really, but in a good way.

Good full flavoured with strong lingering bitterness. And rejoice, the mysterious hop is not citrussy.

Taste of Salzburg for a Sunday night.

Another good Aldi offering. Pleasant but taste fades a bit quickly.
