A lot more acrid and roasty than I was expecting from the name. Just the slightest hint of nutty praline after warming. Coffee. Maybe a little bit of chocolate. This would be better if and when paired with the correct food.Earned the Highlander (Level 13) badge!
Unbeatable value for Singapore standards at $6.75 for a can of Imperial Stout! Wouldn't have guessed maple syrup if I didn't read the label. Nice roast character! Not boozy for 10%. Better when paired with food. A 4.25 rating at the very least.Earned the For the Can (Level 100) badge! Earned the Wheel of Styles (Level 34) badge! Earned the Wake Up and Smell The Coffee! I don't really like marshmallow stouts. This one has a bit of a fake/artificial vibe to it. Not boozy at all for 14%, but also not very easy to drink - I struggled to finish the entire can by myself. Very good full bodied mouthfeel though!

Good value at $6.50 for Singapore standards. And nice to have something like this available at the local supermarket. I'm probably in a generous mood to rate this a straight 4.0

There's an ideal temperature to enjoy this. At ice cold temperatures, the aroma hasn't really opened up. But it's too boozy at warmer temperatures. Better to err on the side of being too cold. Definitely a sipper. Thanks so much nic for the generous gift!
