Jesus. Did they not try it before canning it?

Pretty gutted about this one. It's thin and very one dimensional. For £12 a bottle, definitely not worth it. It reminds me of Marston's imperial stout effort, which was only £4 a bottle. I bought two of this one. I feel really stupid.

Work gave me 40 beers for 40 years today. This was the first I cracked. I've not had a hazy pale in a while, and I love Simcoe, so this was the obvious choice. NEIPAs tend to be reliable, and this was exactly that. Pleasant.

Rich fruitcake aroma. However, the taste is less rich with an unexpected liquorice hit. The Wai-Iti hops possibly allow this as there's less earthy flavours compared to Fuggles or Goldings. But that's just an idea - I could be very wrong!
Pleasantly surprised! I was bought this for my birthday and didn't look properly and just stored it in my cellar (airing cupboard). I thought it was going to be a stout. It's lovely! Sharp, woody, and berry.
