Mr L. is drinking a Sapporo Draft Black Label (黒ラベル) by Sapporo Breweries at 天白区
I've finally unpacked mostly everything. I nearly missed out on my May calendar girl. It's raining today, so no balcony shot, but some of the Nagoya skyline can be seen in the background.
Mr L. is drinking a Pauwel Kwak by Brouwerij Bosteels at リカーマウンテン 鳴子店
Side-by-side with Bolleke De Koninck. This is probably the best Belgian-style Pale Ale I have ever consumed. Smooth. Pleasant fruity aroma with hints of banana. On the sweet side, but not candy sweet like Orval. Mildly potent at 8.4% ABV. Delightful.
Mr L. is drinking a Bolleke De Koninck (APA) by Brouwerij De Koninck at リカーマウンテン 鳴子店
Side-by-side with Pauwel Kwak. This is lighter given the lower ABV, however the hue is just a slight bit darker. Far less aromatic. Also much less sweet. It tasted slightly like cigarette smoke following Kwak, but it held its own after several sips. 4.40*
Mr L. is drinking a Kona Light by Kona Brewing Company at Bronco Billy (ブロンコビリー 高針店)
I wonder if this beer is a rebranding of Kona's Kanaha Blonde Ale. The mango flavour is very faint. It's crisp and refreshing. It reminds me of a session IPA. Hanalei is fruitier. Bronco Billy starring Clint Eastwood at Bronco Billy Steakhouse!
One more beer before bedtime as I listen to the rain falling along with the cars driving along wet streets. It's a cool night. Temperatures should rise for the weekend. Might Sunday bring another walkabout?
