Damn impatience.. arrived this afternoon lying on side .. didn't even think about sediment 🤦 luckily hasn't affected taste ..I think) boozie nose plum sherry.. brandy body a little thin but great 'gateway' (vintage) barley wine from 'chuckling cheese'

Christmas Beer #20. Of lite raisins & plums, on Mum's Christmas pud. The traditional Barleywine taste without the stagger afterwards, effectively the gateway of gateway Barleywine. It's lovely, even if it's not normally my jam, but the season calls for it

Norman Wigley: Vincent Y. Got a similar sort of vintage, put it away for a treat one day and can't now remember what the hell I did with it! Think BB date was something like 2045. MUST FIND IT
