Scottish Ale

Pour: The Scottish Ale pours slightly hazy mahogany red-amber with creamy off-white,
1-finger head that dissipates to a thin film with sparse, soapy lacing.
Nose: The nose is quite smoky and earthy with more subtle malty, bready, and slightly
sweet notes. There are big aromas of smoky peat, charred oak, tobacco, and peated malt
along with lighter aromas of freshly baked wheat bread and soft burnt toffee.
Taste: Following the nose, the taste is very smoky, bready, nutty, and malty with a touch
of sweetness. There are note of smoky peat, dark toasted bread, smoked grains, roasted
walnuts, a hint of black pepper, and very soft caramel and honey.
Mouthfeel: Medium in body with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp, and
slightly sharp, yet smooth and chewy with a smoky, dry finish. Show Less
