Tony Yardley is drinking a Pearl of Kent by Whitstable Brewery at Anerley Hill
One a day historical check in, drank October 2011 at The Grape & Grain Autumn Beer Festival. Lots of fruit in the nose particularly pear. Light malty flavour with a fruity edge. Light bitter finish.

Fantastic accompaniment to fish and chips. A real great classic golden ale - bitter, biscuity and bright. Simple but effective, it isn’t trying to change the world but it’s just what’s needed. Nice bottle design too - shiny!

Very well poured pint but used dad’s camra card for a discount so can’t complain at the price reduction. Taste is nothing spectacular, quite fruity but easy to drink and not overly fizzy, very average but gotta support the local Kentish breweries
