In the Darkness Bind Them

In The Darkness Bind Them is named to reflect the complexity of flavors present in this 9% Imperial Milk Stout. We bound together cocao, coffee, and lactose in the darkness of this tasty full bodied stout. Using cocao husks in the mash tun, and cocao nibs throughout the process - including two weeks of aging - chocolate flavors are abound. We then blended Speedwell Coffee’s Brazil Roast cold brew into the finished beer to add an enjoyable coffee profile.

This beer is all about layers of flavor. Initially, fudge brownies and dark chocolate roll over the pallet followed by gentle coffee notes with hints of almond and cherry, finished with a slight sweetness from lactose (milk sugar). Show Less
