Hopback Imperial Red

When the Hop Hooligans from Bucharest Romania were on a visit to the East Coast of the United States they stopped by for a brewday.
Having never brewed with whole leaf hops the Hop Hooligans were eager to brew with them so we wheeled out Dynasty's massive hopback for the brew.
What we came up with is an Imperial Red Ale with Virginia Chinook Hops ( from Fabbioli Cellars ) in mash. The beautiful Amarillo hop in the boil and a massive load of Whole Leaf PNW Comet and Chinook for a spicy hop flavor. Citra hops were added to the dry-hop and a nice clean citrus aroma.
