Very nice hint of caramel with the aged bourbon barrels. Distinct, kinda strong, smooth. Not sure if I'm getting a smidge of coffee notes too. I was fearing being a barrel aged beer it'd be terribly strong and overpowering for being a 9% but not really.

Haven’t had too many barrel aged dopplebocks but this was great. The creamy caramel swirl is reminiscent of the caramel candy you get at Halloween.
