Bottle dated Oct 12 2018. Definitely much better than the first bottle I opened in 2020. Smooth, you get the Chardonnay. If you still have one of these open now, I doubt it will improve anymore. My experience is 5 years is as long as you want to go.

Dry marmalade, toffee, light citrus, hard to pluck out the chard.

Weird sulfur flavors. Don't think the wine barrel helped much in this case.

Murky, faint wine influence…decent BW, quite old I believe.

Smells of caramel and malt. Taste is malty and strong.

Alcohol on the nose w/ vanilla and floral notes. Oaky, vanilla, slightly biscuity flavor, with a bit of bitter on the middle and a bitter finish. Cloying clinging mouthfeel. Hefty malt backbone. This is a fine barley wine
