Bodriggy x Birdsnake - Cherry & Fig Stout

It's that time of year again where we put our heads together with the choccy masterminds at Birdsnake to brew a sensually surreptitious assault on the senses. This year Fred from Birdsnake really turned it up, bringing us both cacao nibs AND husks all the way from Ecuador. The husks give a really complex aromatic version of the flavours expressed by the Ecuadorian appellation which we thought would work brilliantly in a beer, so we've layered our choccy, steeping the husks on the hot side of brewing, and dip hopping with a generous whack of nibs. This is backed up by fruit additions of both fig and cherry that brighten up the front palate and blend into this delicious velvety dark beer. Show Less
