Barry Eggleton is drinking an As A Newt by Amber Ales at Untappd at Home
Well past it's BBE; however, it's actually really quite good, it's morphed into an almost barley wine with lots of sweet sticky dried fruit upfront alongside toffee and caramel, finish is sweet bready malts with a hint of wood and touch of hop bitterness.

BBE 2013. Body is thin; however, it's 6.3% not an imperial, surprisingly fruity with slightly sweet mixed berries, substantial amount of coffee alongside noticeable oak, has an unexpected acidic/tart background, not particularly sweet or overly bitter.

BBE 2015. Big West Coast hops and huge amounts of dank earthy pine resin upfront alongside a touch of malt and slightly jammy fruit sweetness, finish is bitter orange marmalade and even more earthy pine resin, no signs of hop degradation, quite remarkable
Norman Wigley is drinking a Black Cherry Stout by Amber Ales at Midland Railway Centre
Pre-Untappd (literally) Ci : 1 Oct 2010. Me & Dave at 1st Amber Valley Beer Festival. In a tent in a muddy field. Dave not keen on this, but I thought it did exactly per its name - a black stout that tasted of black cherries!
