Alex Chapman is drinking The Hart by Holy Mountain Brewing at Skate N Place

Got a wild hair to open this today. Hot floral greenhouse with a touch of honey in the aroma. The more I spend with it, the more the aroma shifts into lemon/sweet tart. Crisp on the palate with a residual citrus sweetness at the end. Delicious.

The vegetal, tightly acid nature of the rhubarb paired with the brightness of the cherry is perfect for today. The touch of salt at the end is spot on. Would drink again.

The soft stonefruit aroma with the floral honeyed backdrop make this fit right in with sweet wines. It’s pretty and very sweet. Would be interested in getting a four pack next time and cellaring it to see if the beer got sweeter with time.

Hot greenhouse funk as it has aged. The acidity is spot on. This bottle has a sweet grassiness to it that is hinging on Diacetyl. Could be a mixture of the culture, blend of malts but we’ll see how the rest of this batch ages.

Blueberry and cognac leap out of the glass with the spritzy carbonation. The oak and fresh blueberries brings a earthy bitterness that feels “twiggy” in the best way. This is way too easy to drink.
