Hate to like this beer but can’t help myself. Somehow the usually nasty banana vanillachocolate layered on top of a lighter stout just comes out as ugly candy. Works wonderfully here as a beer to have with desert. Won’t kill you unlike most 12abv versions

Good but not particularly memorable. Typical use of oats and a mix of hops most of which get lost. Tropical and fun, malty, smooth hoppy, nothing to complain about but won’t stick in your memory.

Very cool and somewhat weird dipa driven by Nelson Sauvin. There’s the grapey winey character but it is sitting a bit behind the alcohol and malt which I don’t like quite as much as some other examples we had in the tasting. Still good.

A benchmark Citra, citrus and fruit on the nose, grapefruit, melon, gooseberry on the taste, very smooth and pretty hoppy aftertaste. Excellent indeed.

Very cool. Love the way Nelson Sauvin and Superdelic hops drive the taste of this lager. Wine-y, fruity, very light and clean, this one is not for those who seek a classic taste but for those who wish to see what hops can do.

Perhaps the best use of peaty smokiness and one of the best smoky beers I’ve had. Throughly appetizing, a bit fruity and sweet, malty, a supremely successful layer of smoke that is, for a change, not dominating despite its assertiveness.
