Last one (of the 4-pack)…Not quite finished for the evening!😉😜
Purchased at Costco
Joe F is drinking a Wetsuit Weather by Civil Society Brewing at Muddy Hole Farm
Just before COVID overshadowed…well, everything…I picked up a pair of full face masks w/comm units built in. Testing the masks in the local Rec center pool is not quite the same as diving “the graveyard of the Atlantic”. Soon, though…Fingers crossed!🤞

Joe F is drinking a Switch Doctor Mango Pineapple Imperial Sour by Flying Dog Brewery at Muddy Hole Farm
Since I’ve already stumbled into funky / sour territory, figured I’d go all in. The pineapple & mango beautifully compliment the sour base…Quite refreshing!

Joe F is drinking a Some Gave All by Gypsy Brewing Company LLC at Muddy Hole Farm
There’s a hint of bretty funk, both on the nose and on the tongue…Not necessarily off-putting, just unexpected. Curious also as to the yeast used; tastes more like a hefeweizen than an IPA. Again, not bad, just…Unexpected.

Joe F is drinking a Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. at Muddy Hole Farm
When someone says ‘Cream Ale’, I immediately think Genesee Cream Ale which, let’s be honest, isn’t high on my favorites list. That being said, the barrel-aging added another dimension to the beer that I found quite refreshing on this hot summer day.

Joe F is drinking a MASTER CHUCHO by Tripping Animals Brewing Co. at Muddy Hole Farm
Chucho: A dog. Frequently used when referring to a little ugly dog. Can also be a sort of “pet name”…or a pet’s name. This one was grade A, certified 100% floatee-free.
Purchased at Unwined
Courtney S: Nice! We must have had the bottom of the line 🧐
Joe F: Courtney S. Cheers to your next beer being floatee-free!🍻🤣
Joe F is drinking a Blueberry Obsession by Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery at Muddy Hole Farm
Another. A palate cleanser to wrap up the outdoor portion of a rare, comfortable July day in mid-Atlantica…
Purchased at Costco
Fredrik Pihlström: Just now having their strawberry hefe, disappointed sadly
Joe F: Fredrik P. Yeah…You really need to try this one…Keep an open mind until you do.
Fredrik Pihlström: Joe F. I trust you, the strawberry was just too artificial and the hefe suffered from it. Agree Jim P. haha
Joe F is drinking a Tidal Fury by Great Lakes Brewing Company at Muddy Hole Farm
Tidal Fury -- A love story -- About an aged narcissist who wields power & invokes a subtext on the social politics of power. A poet whose muse is Medusa. Oh wait…I’m thinking of a different ‘Tidal Fury’…My bad.

Joe F is drinking a Grizzette by Elder Pine Brewing & Blending at Muddy Hole Farm
The task: Beer transfers suck…It’s a time- & labor-intensive PIA task with no immediate gratification. The beer: Straw-yellow pour w/white crown; light funky yeast up front; citrus (lemon) & apricot on the tongue; decent mouthfeel, w/a crisp, dry finish.
Purchased at Unwined
Suzanne Hamilton: That’s why we don’t brew anymore. Labor intensive and it’s just easier to drink everyone else’s great beer. You will enjoy soon enough! 🍻
Joe F: I try to coordinate brew cycles so all transfers happen on the same day. Here: Pumpkin #1–>Keg; Pumpkin #2–>Secondary & Barleywine—>on oak.
Suzanne Hamilton: And just how far away are you?🧐 🤣
Fredrik Pihlström: The great fermenter from -86!
Joe F: Suzanne H. Perhaps we can coordinate a “drive by” sampler pick-up on your next trip through PA to / from the Poconos!🤔💫😀
Suzanne Hamilton: That would be awesome!
Joe F is drinking a Station 4 by Vitamin Sea Brewing at Muddy Hole Farm
New brew (& brewery) Thursday. Hazy golden pour w/tight tan crown. Pineapple, mango & citrus up front; creamy soft mouthfeel invokes a peaches & cream / dreamsickle vibe. Plenty hoppy, but not overdone…Pine, resin, light dank…Smooth, light bitter finish.

Joe F is drinking a French Toast (All Canned Dates) by Hubbard's Cave at Muddy Hole Farm
In 1995, astronomers discovered nebula G34.3 in the constellation Aquila is loaded with enough ethyl alcohol to supply every human on earth 300,000 pints/day for the next billion years…To drink your share, you would have to down a beer every 0.28 seconds!

Joe F is drinking a Misty Morning by Lost Rhino Brewing Company at Muddy Hole Farm
Great-grandparents emigrated from Italy around 1900, so Italian was frequently spoken growing up. One word used quite often: Stunod. Loosely defined as “clueless”, “having one’s head in the clouds”, or “being in a fog”…It’s also ‘Donuts’ spelled backwards

Tony Borg: Nice little story and lesson in the CI text 😁

Joe F is drinking a Nephology Series: Strata by Three Notch'd Brewing at Muddy Hole Farm
The speculation that HAL was superior to IBM (by a letter) was pure coincidence. Kubrick & IBM discussed the similarity; IBM was OK w/things as long as they weren't associated w/the "equipment failure", or listed as the technical advisor for the computer.

Up and out of the house early for yard work in anticipation of the return of heat and humidity, and as such, was unable to finish my daily pot of coffee. This is helping to fill that void. Tapping out for the evening; let’s be careful out there.
