Cali Creamin' Orange Creamsicle by Mother Earth Brewing Company

Chuck Filkohazi is drinking a Cali Creamin' Orange Creamsicle by Mother Earth Brewing Company at Millstone Township, NJ

This was a nice way to finish the day. Smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. You can definitely taste the orange and vanilla.

This just wasn’t good for my pallet. Starts off slightly sweet. Then I get an acidic grapefruit flavor that was tart and bitter.

Slightly sweet start with a big hoppy, resiny bite. Has a bitterness that lingers. Not a fan.

October Surprise by Magnify Brewing Company

Chuck Filkohazi is drinking an October Surprise by Magnify Brewing Company at Millstone Township, NJ

Before yesterday, I hadn’t had any oak aged Marzen style Oktoberfest beers. Now I’ve had two. This one is not as good as the first. Malty up front with a very subtle oakey finish. Could definitely use a little more flavor.

Paranormal Imperial Pumpkin Ale by Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery

Chuck Filkohazi is drinking a Paranormal Imperial Pumpkin Ale by Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery at Millstone Township, NJ

My first beer ever from Canada’s Flying Monkey. I love the can art but I’m a little disappointed in this imperial pumpkin ale. Way too much ginger and cinnamon at the finish. Can’t really taste much else.

Another Marzen style Oktoberfest first for me. This one is aged in French oak barrels. Malty up front with a subtle oakey flavor. Has a slight hint of noble hops with a clean finish.

This is a first for me - a bourbon barrel aged Marzen style Oktoberfest. Malty and very smooth with a hint of caramel. Finishes with a slightly boozy kick of bourbon - not overpowering. Very nice!

Been 5 years since I enjoyed this tasty brown ale. Malty and slightly roasty with just the right amount of maple sweetness. Gotta make sure to look for this every fall.
