Ian is drinking a Toasted Bock by Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company at Lake Rugby
The night of average beers continues (at least I am checking off some from Untappd). From a mix six from the local grocer, and it is not exceptional in the least. Some caramel sweetness. Malty. Not much else.
Purchased at Ingles
Ian is drinking a Big Storm Key Lime Shandy by Big Storm Brewing Co. at Lake Rugby
Pretty bland, even by shandy standards. Super light. Basically malty water with some hint of key lime. Not much else.
Ian is drinking an Innertube by Burial Beer Co. at Lake Rugby
Football and beer. What is more American? Decent lager. Malty. Clean and crisp. Solid beer flavored beer. #WhoDat ⚜️⚜️⚜️
Purchased at The Fresh Market
Ian is drinking a Palm Bender IPA by Big Storm Brewing Co. at Lake Rugby
This kind of surprised me. There is a mix of astringency with hops that give off a lemony vibe. A tad earthy and floral. Smooth and thin. Definitely not an overwhelming hop bomb. Ok.
Ian is drinking an Irresistible Amber Ale by Madison River Brewing Company at Lake Rugby
Ian is drinking a Grolsch Premium Lager by Koninklijke Grolsch at Lake Rugby
Have not had one of these in over ten years. Has not improved much. Still, coolest damn bottle you will find in your local grocery aisle.
Purchased at Ingles
Chris Creel: Oh snap, I haven’t tapped that one in!
Ian: Don’t go out of your way Chris C. it is not special.
Chris Creel: 👍🏼
Ian is drinking a Yee-Haw Easy by Yee-Haw Brewing Company at Lake Rugby
Easy is right, but not in a bad way. Beer flavored beer.
Earned the Lager Jack (Level 34) badge!Ian is drinking a Pilsner by Aass Bryggeri at Lake Rugby
Norwegian Pilsner that is pretty close to water. Really, neither malty nor hoppy. Probably good for hydration.
Purchased at The Blue Door Bottleshop & Beer Hall
Ian is drinking a Radical Empathy Belgian Ale With Cherries by 12 Bones Brewing at Lake Rugby
Too much of a medicinal taste. Pungent and malty. Not what I expected.
Purchased at 12 Bones Smokehouse - South
Earned the Fields of Gold (Level 15) badge!Ian is drinking a Radio Haze by NoDa Brewing Company at Lake Rugby
Citrusy and light IPA. Not too robust or hoppy. Pretty mild and mellow. Definitely an easy drinking brew. Good for a hot summer afternoon.
Purchased at The Blue Door Bottleshop & Beer Hall
Earned the Hopped Down (Level 95) badge!Ian is drinking an Own Benefactor by Burial Beer Co. at Lake Rugby
Light, not too hoppy, and the Kolsch yeast is very noticeable. Bright and clear with a subtle bite finish all the while rather dry. Tasty, but not a typical IPA (at least not from Burial).
Purchased at The Blue Door Bottleshop & Beer Hall
Ian is drinking a Mt. Delay IPA by Dry Falls Brewing Co. at Lake Rugby
Super hoppy IPA. Some zesty piney aspects and a higher viscosity than I would expect for the style. Still, ok. ABV is not too potent.
Purchased at Dry Falls Brewing
Ian is drinking a Folded Mountains by ALDI Stores US at Lake Rugby
Another Aldi find. Bitter and piney, but not much else. Ok for the price.
Purchased at ALDI
Ian is drinking an Avalanche Amber Ale by Breckenridge Brewery at Lake Rugby
Don’t get amber or ale from this beer. For that much, don’t get anything else.
Earned the Paint the Town Red (Level 10) badge!Ian is drinking a Bonedagger American Pale Ale by Burial Beer Co. at Lake Rugby
Light and refreshing Pale Ale. Clean and crisp, but favorable. Well made for the style.
Purchased at Burial Beer Co.
Ian is drinking an Owyhee by Revision Brewing Company at Lake Rugby
A light and smooth NEIPA, but remarkably tasty and fruity for the mildness. Doesn’t have the creamy or rich hazy hoppy variety associated with other more prominent brews, but still quite nice. Well done.
Purchased at Craft Centric Taproom & Bottle Shop
Earned the Better Together (Level 35) badge! Earned the Haze for Days (Level 51) badge!Ian is drinking a Hop Beard by Fonta Flora Brewery at Lake Rugby
Decent hoppy brew. More of a piney and bitter combo. Still, a solid version of the West Coast version. Not bad.
Purchased at Craft Centric Taproom & Bottle Shop
Ian is drinking a Palo Santo 10W-40 by Hi-Wire Brewing at Lake Rugby
Chocolate and coffee aged on palo santo Wood (what is that...???). This series is always solid.
Purchased at The Casual Pint - Asheville
