Malt Shovel Brewery by James Squire Jack of Spades Porter

Served cold, tastes damn close to Tooheys Old. As it warms there's a little more body, caramel, and roast. Not awful

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Old Black Tractor

Tom M. is drinking an Old Black Tractor by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. This is easily the stout-iest Black IPA I've ever had: basically a hopped up Extra Stout. And I love it. Will be back for more tomorrow

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Big Hitter

Tom M. is drinking a Big Hitter by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. One of the best bitters I've had! Seriously great stuff. Fantastic raspberry-blackberry aroma and caramel-biscuit malt, finishes bitter

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Anzac Ale

Tom M. is drinking an Anzac Ale by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. Not a dark ale as per Untappd. English-sorta pale ale with a bit of toasted character. Not bad

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Trade Winds

Tom M. is drinking a Trade Winds by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with this IPA - then I looked on Untappd and it's English not American. Will retry and rate then

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Close Call

Tom M. is drinking a Close Call by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

Good, citrusy pale ale with a decent malt backbone. Doesn't try to re-invent the wheel, but it knows what it does and it does it well.

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by Paddle Wheel Pilsner

Tom M. is drinking a Paddle Wheel Pilsner by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. Not a bad drop, but prefer my pilsners a bit more assertive - however could've been served too cold and I was impatient

The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co by East Coast Cream Ale

Tom M. is drinking an East Coast Cream Ale by The Morpeth Brewery & Beer Co at The Commercial Hotel

LCI. Very solid cream ale. Light bodied but not thin, and there's a touch of sweet fruit (lime?) hiding there. Good stuff

Hunter Beer Co by Big Stout (2017)

Tom M. is drinking a Big Stout (2017) by Hunter Beer Co

Great Imperial Stout. Big mouthfeel. Plenty of roast, molasses, raisins, and touches of plum and aniseed. Sooo good

Hunter Beer Co by Sour Brown

Tom M. is drinking a Sour Brown by Hunter Beer Co at Potters Brewery

My first sour brown! Perfect balance between lactic tartness and acetic vinegar sourness. Extra malt helps temper the acidity. Good stuff!

Hunter Beer Co by Hunter Bock

Tom M. is drinking a Hunter Bock by Hunter Beer Co at Hunter Beer Co.

Very nice Bock. Smooth biscuit, caramel maltiness with some dark fruit notes and restrained roast. Exceptionally smooth and clean. Yummm

Hunter Beer Co by Hunter Pale Ale

Tom M. is drinking a Hunter Pale Ale by Hunter Beer Co at Potters Brewery

Very good pale ale. True to style. Candied grapefruit, a little caramel, some biscuit, and a firm, bitter finish. Well done HBC

Hunter Beer Co by Hunter Kolsch

Tom M. is drinking a Hunter Kolsch by Hunter Beer Co at Hunter Beer Co.

World class kölsch. Very clean, pleasant continental maltiness, and a little noble hop presence. Very nice starter
