Sylvan NZ: Brotherhood of Darkness is a great name!

A pretty straightforward dark. Cheap and cheerful. Smooth, roasty & slightly sweet dark maltiness with a subtle hoppy bitter finish. I’m thinking it’s more towards a Porter than a Lager… but quite enjoyable.

A little bit of a different take on a red IPA. So… quite smooth with a nice red colour, a tad sweet, a little fruity and nice touch of bitterness at the end. Not bad.

A touch too sweet for my taste in Stouts. However this is a great, satisfying dark with pleasant mouthfeel and a subtle bitterness to finish. Flavours of chocolate come through after a few sips.

This one’s a bit of a challenge for me… being a bit of a Stout purist. Pleasant enough though, & I get the dark malty goodness of a stout, and coffee, but feel it’s a bit too sweet & diluted by the other flavours. Ok though.
