Saison did 10 months in an oak foeder, then refermented with fruit. NBs sour and blend projects have been insane. The foundation of this is super clean with apricot and vanilla smoothed out by oak. The passion fruit adds a modest juicy brightness.
Fun idea for brew/ chocolate bar cross collab. The pairing is awesome as well. The white chocolate bar has some texture from dried peach chunks and juicy bite. That is balanced by some serious pucker power of this super ripe peachy sour w/ subtle vanilla.Earned the Hopped Down (Level 50) badge! Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 42) badge! First time checking these guys out. Hype was real. Was advised to get one for now, one to stow away. Stoked to see what the Bretts will do. A very yeasty, effervescent pour. Mildly earthy saison with slight clove and an ever so slight tart twang.Earned the Bar Explorer (Level 46) badge! Earned the Trip to the Farm (Level 16) badge!
So this was released along with a FB Chocolate bar... I was blown to miss it but stoked to have caught this. Definitely boozy, but maybe not a 15%. Rich dark chocolate sludge; subtle strawberry cream and a mellow waffle cone palate. This is exceptional.Earned the Sky's the Limit (Level 29) badge!
