StuDad: Look for beers from Brasserie Pophin. Excellent beers. I knew the brewer well and Helen M. and I stayed at the brewery when it was new.

Garth is drinking an Oldarki Rubis by Brasserie Oldarki at Chez Papa
If you look up cute in the Oxford dictionary it says ugly but interesting. This beer has more fruit and sweetness than I normally like, but it's interesting. The 8.5% it's hiding so smoothly makes it ugly, interesting, and dangerous...
Earned the Brewery Pioneer (Level 99) badge!
Garth is drinking an IPA by Légionnaire at Chez Papa
This might be the best beer I've had in France so far. Better than the best beer from Italy, but not up to the average of what I had in Belgium
Earned the La Crème de la Crème (Level 2) badge!

Garth is drinking a La Bière du Démon by Brasserie Goudale at Untappd at Home
Bought this in a supermarket in Lyon and with bad lighting and dark brown glass I thought it was a dark beer. Pouring it in Paris it is a "strong lager". Tastes like the Carlsberg elephant strong lager. Nasty tar and cigarette butts.
Garth is drinking a Gallia Nouveau Western IPA by Gallia at Au Café de Paris
Apparently the urinals in Paris require some extra explanation. Reasonable french WCIPA, big front bitterness with a touch of rosin and pine. Reasonable but still a touch meh. Perhaps Belgium spoiled me
Earned the Super Style: IPA - American (Level 26) badge!
Earned the Beer Foodie (Level 28) badge!
StuDad: I first went to Paris for work in 1988. In those days some pubs still had squat toilets. I'm not making that up!
Garth is drinking a Maccabee (מכבי) by Tempo Beer Industries Ltd (טמפו) at King Falafel Palace
Gone for a kebab and they have me this in a bottle. Nngggg. Tastes of nothing but nasty.
StuDad: You're just being anti-semitic now! Stop it!
StuDad: You must have an old edition of the OED. 🍻
