Blackberries as a fruit are when fresh sour rather than sweet and this ale captures those characteristics perfectly. Wild fruits coat you teeth with those acidic dry notes and the ale does that as well. I get the wildness but not the whisky barrelling.

Very pleased to say Chubbles is alive and very well. Easy to drink, clean tasting, very hoppy and none of that aftertaste clutter. Remember when you first tasted Jaipur or Dobber well this is doing exactly that for me. A proper UK brewed IPA!

Immediately you are aware just how good this ale is and then the strength hits you. Incredibly flavoursome with a savoury stone fruit base which leads me to my only criticism it’s not an American brewed ale because it’s not clean. It’s still very good.

Excellent old fashioned northern English Porter. Very smooth slightly bitter, coffee kind of sweet and yes hops present in the background. Coffee can sometimes be cloying but not this fresh and clean.

There are many times when my inability with English lets me down and now I can’t describe this caramel led barrel aged stout in the way I want to, it annoys me. Love the savoury salt, the sweet delicious caramel and then there is the bourbon burntness.
