Rick I. is drinking an Experimental IPA #26 (Southern Tropic, Citra Cryo) by Superflux Beer Company at Isola di Birra
Interesting flavour from South African Southern Tropic hops. Lots of woodsy, dank, resinous pine needles with spicy pepper & floral lavender. Orange, melon, mango & lychee. The hops stand-out in a sea of particulate matter
Rick I. is drinking a Scaphism by Nightmare Brewing Company at Isola di Birra
A nice surprise from a hard-to-find metal brewery. A massive 17% imperial stout with milk (sugar) & honey after its name. Rich, sweet, bitter. Surprisingly smooth & light. Aged on Tahitian vanilla & cocoa nibs. Absolutely epic. No real alcohol warming
Rick I. is drinking an Experimental IPA #25 (Southern Sublime, Mosaic) by Superflux Beer Company at Isola di Birra
Westcoast-ish IPA using S. African Southern Sublime hops & Mosaic. Spicy, herbal, fruity. S. Sublime adds woodsy, earthy notes of clove & black pepper, sage & lavender from caryophyllene terps. Pineapple is the dominant fruit. Light pine, berries & mango
Rick I. is drinking a Crowns, Hammers, And Zombies by Mason Ale Works at Isola di Birra
It's National IPA badge day? A 10% TIPA collab between Beer Zombies, Mason Ale Works & Craft Beer Kings. DDH with Citra, El Dorado & HBC 586. Magically delicious! Lots of orangey citrus. Watermelon, mango, lychee, pineapple, berries... wheat creaminess
A delicious 12% imperial stout. Evil Twin covered all the bases with added coconut, chocolate, almonds, cookies, coffee & milk sugar. Rich. Smooth. Sticky sweet but not quite cloying. Some earthiness & light acidity. A liquid dessert
