Founded in the summer of 2011, Slow Boat began as a small pilot brewery nestled high within the mountains surrounding Beijing. We are proud to offer small-batch brews that push the creative boundaries of Chinese craft beer and we are dedicated to furthering the Chinese craft movement by making beer that China is proud to call its own. We are driven by the desire to create and to ultimately witness those creations bring people together. In terms of philosophy and approach, we adhere to strict, self-imposed standards. Superior beer is made with superior ingredients, so we don’t cut corners when it comes to the quality of our malt, hops, yeast and water.
