Ancient Ayr

Truly a beautiful beer in the glass, Ancient Ayr, pours a deep reddish brown, that shines a clear ruby red when held to the light. On the nose you're greeted with a mix of sweet and spice, reminiscent of a holiday spice cake or fresh baked pumpernickel. Those with a bit of sweet tooth will enjoy layers of malt derived flavors including toffee, caramel, and sweet bread that blur together to create almost a raisin bread like profile.

As a brewery that enjoys a good literary connection, we turned our eyes to famed Scottish poet, Robert "Rabbie" Burns, applying the name "Ancient Ayr" in tribute to his home region of Ayrshire in Southwest Scotland. Show Less
