Point of Contention

Aroma has hints of a dark fruit medley with lightly roasted cocoa, baking spice and soft acidity.
At first sip it hits your palette with flavors of prune, raisin and dark fruit, subtle warm spices and rich vinous notes. The soft roast and baking cocoa pairs with an assertive but tamed acidity.
The beer finishes with more dark fruit and red wine grape. Oak tannins are present but are not overwhelming and help to provide body.
Overall this is balanced between fruit, sour, roast and spice. The oak helps to package all the flavors nicely. Show Less
