Picked up last year on the NC500; didn't think it wise to drink it and drive on those narrow roads. Was surprised that Lidl Thurso had it. The extra year has done it no harm. Beautifully brewed and barrel aged. Strong and smooth but not boozy. Coffee.

Clear(?) deepest mahogany; small, shortlived tan head. Rich, sweet, nutty aroma, some dried fruit + a high floral character; overall reminiscent of aged champagne/PX sherry. Thick + sweet flavour; malty, fruity, woody, faint coffee bitterness. Intense.
