Farmer's Seasonal - Fennel French Ale

As the old saying goes, ‘You reap what you sow’. Loop Growers is a bio-intensive, chemical-free, market garden, just 30km from our brewery. Local farmers, working with local restaurants to turn waste into want, with a range of seasonal, nutrient-loaded vegies.

We’ve planted a range of seasonal beers, designed as fresh crops come to harvest, in collaboration with Loop, to grow a better understanding of waste management and local farming, right at your back door.

This third release in the series celebrates fresh and roasted fennel from the Loop farm in a light, refreshing saison style beer for summer. As often occurs with farmhouse beer styles, malts and hops take a small backseat and, while not actually brewed with a saison yeast, the saison-like effect is reconstructed via the complement of mild UK yeast esters with spicy and earthy Fennel character.
