Milk Stout With Chocolate

We created this beer by taking a decadent milk stout base and introducing bitter cacao nibs in the kettle and aromatic liquid cacao during conditioning. From its initial design the hope was to produce a rich and satisfying stout that drinks easy enough to enjoy in any weather. The nose carries notes of sweetened espresso, roasted barley, and bakers cocoa, and the flavor has highlights of dark chocolate, coffee beans and dark malt. This milk stout is full-bodied and creamy with a low level of carbonation and a high residual sweetness that creates a rich somewhat thick mouthfeel. It finishes with pleasant but somewhat unexpected lightness and minimal bitterness that make for a surprisingly easy drinking stout. Show Less
