Engine 209

Named for Engine 209, which was actually built in America for the last Czar of Russia, but when the Russian Revolution hindered that purchase in 1917, it stayed here in the states and ran on the Gainesville Midland Railroad until 1959.

It now sits next to what used to be the train depot, which is now the Arts Center, Gainesville, GA. And so LNB has created a beer in keeping with this massive engine.

Expect roasty-burnt malt with deep dark or dried fruit flavors and a warming bittersweet, bourbon barrel finish. Upon warming, you may sense Barleywine nuances as well as charred wood from barrel aging. Show Less
