Blackberry & Blueberry ‘20 Harvest

For the first release of this fruiting combination, we chose a blend across four different batches brewed in the Spring and Fall seasons of 2019.⁣⁣ Approximately 20% of this blend consisted of an experimental batch that we brewed in Spring of 2019 where we replaced the unmalted wheat portion of the grist with unmalted buckwheat from @rabbit_hill_malthouse. ⁣The remaining portion of the blend was traditionally brewed spontaneous beer, a portion of which was aged in a chestnut puncheon.⁣⁣ We pulled the blend at an average age of 13 months for fruiting in the summer of 2020. We separately refermented the beer on New Jersey harvested blackberries and blueberries and then conditioned for an additional 10 months in oak. Bottle conditioned > 1yr Show Less
