Bodacious Cowboys

Hazy Triple IPA. We started with a brimful mash tun of @texmalt Pilsner and Wheat Malt, and English Malted Oats. The wort was then whirlpool hopped with 2lbs per barrel each of Citra and Strata hops. We fermented the wort with a Norwegian kveik yeast blend and dry hopped the beer three separate times, first during fermentation with Citra, then post fermentation with Strata, then once more with Rakau and a dash of Sabro for good measure. This made for a dry hopping rate of 9.25lbs per barrel, and a total hopping rate of about 14lbs per barrel.
This beer is the culmination of everything we’ve learned in the past year about creating a soft, silky beer and saturating it with hop aromatics and flavor, and we’re pleased with the result. Despite the irresponsible amount of hops added to the beer, there is no hop burn to be found. Furthermore, although the beer is high in alcohol, it finishes balanced with just a whisper of sweetness.
