Idlewild Horus Collaboration

In Spring of 2022, Kyle from Horus Aged Ales came through Louisville and brewed a huge stout with us. We took that beast and dropped it in a Woodford Reserve barrel that had been used to make vanilla bourbon, for 12 months. But we weren't done yet. We then moved it over to a 9+yr Russell's Reserve Bourbon Barrel for another 6 months.

The dark liquid center is surrounded by a beautiful amber halo that lasts for days on the glass. A nose of bourbon and vanilla, gives way to milk chocolate and caramel on the tongue. Show Less
