Boca 45

The inspiration for this beer was to brew an amber beer with a difference. We wanted to make a modern beer with a traditional base; a mild is perfect for our purposes and we took that deep, malty, balanced amber/brown beer and added two additional elements: honeycomb and world hops. German, American and NZ hops contribute depth of flavour and bitterness. Brewsters have been using honey in beer and mead as a sweetener for tens of thousands of years and the honeycomb we used in Boca 45 adds a little extra sweetness to this pint. The honey leaves a dry finish to the beer, with a big malty aroma, a dry biscuit nutty flavour, some bitterness and a smack of honey.
